What a portal is

An installable app with the same kind of screen as Calendar or the point of sale. Open it in the browser, or add it to a phone home screen. Sign in when the app requires it, and work. People never see the full back office.

The hub

The hub is portals.md-hub.com. After sign-in, a person sees only the apps they are allowed to use. Platform apps are already there. A published custom portal can sit on that same grid.

One host
一つのホスト
Each app keeps one job and one host. Inventory is inventory.md-hub.com. Games is games.md-hub.com. Notes, Inbox, Calendar, and the point of sale each have their own host. Before a host is ready, the app still opens from its portal link.

Sign-in when it matters

Notes, Inbox, and Module Editor stay behind a login. Weather, Games, the Clock, and the Calculator can open with no account. Guest access is a switch, not the default. Admin-only apps, including Module Editor and Servers, stay off the grid for basic users.

A portal can be a draft, published, paused, or archived. Published apps can appear as a tile on the hub.
